CNN’s report titled “White House press secretary ends news conference as Biden is still responding to questions from reporters” detailed the embarrassing episode. White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre took the extraordinary step of abruptly ending the press conference while President Biden was still attempting to respond to questions from reporters in the room.

As Biden tried to address shouted questions from the press, Jean-Pierre stepped up to the microphone and announced, “Thank you everybody – this ends the press conference.” Biden lingered briefly on stage after her announcement and managed to respond to one more question, though his full answer was largely inaudible.
