In a contentious move by the Biden administration, the President hosted a barbecue party at the White House amid distressing news from the Middle East. Reports indicated that at least eleven Americans had lost their lives during Israel’s recent conflict with the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas.
The White House distributed a memo on Monday outlining the barbecue event for the families of its staff. This occurred a day after the White House National Security Council confirmed the tragic deaths of US citizens as a result of the Palestinian terrorist attacks in Israel.
Over the weekend, thousands of Hamas militants launched a surprise, multi-pronged assault from the Gaza Strip into Israel, intentionally targeting civilians.
The invasion has resulted in the loss of at least 1,200 Israeli and foreign lives, with hundreds reported as abducted. Investigations are ongoing regarding reports of Americans being among the kidnapped individuals.
The memo, as reported by Breitbart News, states, “The President and First Lady are hosting a barbecue for White House Executive Residence staff and their families.”
This decision by the President’s administration drew sharp criticism from various political commentators. Brilyn Hollyhand commented, “Countless American citizens have been murdered or are currently being held hostage by Hamas, but Biden is in his backyard hosting a BBQ. They care more about their picnic schedule than dead Americans due to a major U.S. intel failure. Disgusting. BBQ First, America Last.”
Katie Pavlich, a conservative commentator, emphasized that “Biden is hosting a BBQ just as countless Americans are being held hostage in Gaza, with attacks on civilians in Israel ongoing.”
Karoline Leavitt, spokeswoman of the MAGA Inc. PAC, expressed dismay, stating, “Americans are being held hostage by terrorists, and Biden stopped working before noon… Even worse – BIDEN IS HOSTING A BARBECUE. There are no words.”
