With the termination of Title 42 by President Joe Biden, numerous foreign nationals from different parts of the earth are gathering at the southern border of the United States, in hopes of unlawfully entering the country once it expires on May 11th.
Former President Donald Trump invoked Title 42, a measure enacted during the Wuhan coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, which allowed federal immigration officials to promptly repatriate millions of undocumented migrants back to Mexico after being apprehended in the United States. Title 42 was one of the few remaining controls at the border.
Presently, the Biden administration aims to terminate Title 42 and establish an alternative catch-and-release pipeline scheme, which would simplify the entry of undocumented migrants into the United States and facilitate their integration into American communities.
Biden’s New Plan: Fast-Track Illegal Alien Resettlement into the United States. Numerous foreign nationals are capitalizing on the impending alteration in the immigration policy. A person who spoke with KGTV in San Diego revealed that he undertook three flights from Jamaica to Tijuana, Mexico, which lies adjacent to the U.S.-Mexico border in California’s southern region. This individual aspires to gain entry into the United States through one of Biden’s catch-and-release pipelines.
It is crucial to emphasize that this particular individual lacks a legitimate ground for asylum, rendering him an unqualified migrant. The reason for his departure from Jamaica is the prevailing high levels of criminality in his home country.
Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) will likely funnel individuals like him into the U.S., allowing them to settle anywhere except for wealthy enclaves such as Martha’s Vineyard, where they are not welcome.
Additionally, foreign nationals hailing from countries like Ghana, Colombia, Haiti, and India are also arriving in Mexico to await the expiration of Title 42. Roughly 15,000 individuals from Haiti are currently in Mexico, anticipating an opportunity to enter the United States and settle unlawfully through one of Biden’s invasion pipelines.
Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has recently disclosed its plan to dispatch an extra 1,500 U.S. troops to the southern border. Nonetheless, the troops’ purpose is not to enforce law and order but to facilitate the entry of these undocumented migrants.
Senator Tom Cotton from Arkansas, a member of the Republican party, disapproved of Biden’s scheme, citing that it does not contribute towards resolving the prevailing crisis at the border.
Upon the expiration of Title 42, it is estimated that almost 400,000 people will unlawfully cross the United States-Mexico border monthly until the country is swamped with undocumented immigrants.
