The Sikh convenience store clerk who beat the piss out of a shoplifter with a stick in is under investigation from Stockton, California police for assault.
The clerks also said the same man stole from their store two other times.

As reported by KCRA.com, a diligent clerk at a 7-Eleven in Stockton, Northern California, took matters into his own hands after being victimized not once, not twice, but three times in one evening by a belligerent shoplifter threatening violence and openly stealing.
On his third daring raid, the thief – who clearly thought he had the right to flout the law and terrorize hard-working citizens – finally met his match. The fearless shopkeeper took him down with an assertive thrashing, justly subduing the would-be robber who had threatened to pull a gun.

But what’s the thanks he gets? A criminal investigation by the very police who should be applauding his stand against crime.
It’s an all-too-familiar narrative in today’s upside-down world where the rights of criminals are upheld over those who obey the law. Police, it seems, have lost interest in the basic principles of justice, preferring instead to persecute those who refuse to be victimized.
